Honeywell, Johnson Controls and Acuity among ControlTrends award winners

The 2018 ControlTrends award winners were once again unveiled at a ceremony held during the AHR Expo in Atlanta, GA.

In the Fox Theatre, a number of awards were presented to companies and professionals in the HVAC and building automation industries. The 2018 Hall of Fame inductees were announced, along with the Marc Petock Award and ControlTrends Young Guns winners.

Those recognized include Honeywell Spyder for Building Automation VAV Controller of the Year. Lou Jones, quality assurance engineer at Honeywell, was also awarded for Best Technical Support Person of the Year.

Johnson Controls took home the award for Smart Building Automation Control System of the Year, in addition to Smart Thermostat or Smart Room Controller of the year for its Glas technology.

Other winners included Belimo for Best Technical Support Company of the Year in the large manufacturer category. Acuity Brands, Inc. was recognized for its nLight Air wireless lighting control system, winning the Vendor of the Year award in the large manufacturer category. www.controltrends.org
